As Finance & Operations Manager, Nichole Fields-Kyle maintains and strengthens Freedom for Immigrants’ financial management, human resources, and day-to-day administrative operations.
She manages these daily business functions while collaborating on strategic planning to create equitable systems that prioritize care and accountability. Her dedication to this operational infrastructure is fueled by a passion for fostering environments where mission-driven teams can do the best work of their lives.
Nichole’s commitment to abolition is deeply personal, rooted in her family’s experiences with systemic injustice and a vision for transformative change. She believes abolition requires dismantling oppressive systems and reimagining frameworks to achieve equity, dignity, and respect for all. This commitment motivates her daily work at FFI, where she endeavors to combat the toxic structures of the nonprofit industrial complex by ensuring the internal systems and culture of the organization care as deeply for those moving the mission forward as it does for those the mission serves.
Nichole had over 12 years of experience working in the nonprofit space before joining Freedom for Immigrants in 2024. She has led organizational growth and implemented innovative solutions to scale impact for initiatives addressing racial economic disparities, food justice, and other public health concerns. She believes in the power of community-based initiatives to transform societies and create healthy, sustainable communities.
Nichole holds a Master of Public Health from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship from New York University. Based in Atlanta, she is a novice gardener, giraffe enthusiast, and country music fan.
